Brandhouse and London Gin

The full results of this years Professional Awards for D&AD are now in. There is some amazing work this year but my favourite has to be the re brand of London Dry Gin by Brandhouse, based in London.

The concept was to create the world's best premium gin product from the worlds oldest wine merchant.

I was in Waitrose the other day, as per usual, spending way too long looking at the packaging and forgetting what food we needed when I saw this on the shelf. I don't drink gin but would love to buy it just for the packaging.

The box itself feels quite luxurious and has a keyhole die cut on the front so you get a hint if the key on the bottle inside. The bottle itself is wrapped in what looks like a very old map print of where the company is based and then you get to the bottle itself which has some great embossed lettering on its sides with the metal key adhered to the front. Even the cap is embellished with detail in shape and with a enamelled top. A beautiful piece of work which to me is so much more interesting than the contents!
