To celebrate 125 years of Sony and the developments in music, Sony commissioned a series of posters and panels to be displayed in their London headquarters.
Not only does it try to cover everyone from Elvis to The Vaccines but it also celebrates the changing face of how we play music from the early wax cylinders to today's MP3 format and streaming technology.
It was designed by Alex Fowkes, who again i am ashamed to admit, I have never heard of before but having visited his website, he is producing some amazing typographic work. So, first up is the typographic music time line followed by a few chosen projects from Alex's website:
Work for the Pin Up bowling alley in Manchester which is now being franchised around the U.K.
Some nice illustration for Tribe Studio who wanted some small spaces brightened up......
